My story

Meet Guanciale - a gentle senior gentleman who's ready to find a loving home where he can feel safe and secure. At 14 years old, Guanciale is still adjusting to shelter life, and he's a bit on the shy side. He's a cat who prefers to stay hidden, curled up in a cozy spot, especially when he feels uncertain. But with a little patience and care, Guanciale's true personality shines through.Guanciale may be reserved, but with a touch of catnip, he transforms into a sweet, affectionate kitty. Once he gets a whiff of his favorite herb, he'll unwind, roll onto his side, and happily accept head scritches, purring as he leans into the attention. While he's not one to rush into social situations, he does enjoy gentle, slow interactions. He particularly loves Churu treats and has been showing more interest in wet food, especially when it's paired with something he likes. This senior gentleman would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can take his time adjusting to his new surroundings. He's not a fan of fast movements or loud noises, but when given space and understanding, he warms up to kind people. He's been around children in his previous home and is known to keep to himself, retreating if things get too hectic. He's also lived with dogs and has had no issues with them, though he doesn't engage with them much.Guanciale has a calm demeanor and would thrive in a home where he can enjoy peaceful moments and gentle companionship. He's already litterbox trained, and despite his shy nature, he's very well-behaved and doesn't cause trouble. If you're looking for a sweet, mellow cat who will reward your patience with quiet affection, Guanciale might just be the perfect fit for you. With a little bit of catnip and a whole lot of love, this gentle soul will surely come out of his shell and become a cherished member of your family. Are you ready to help him find his new home? Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 9.56 Age: 14yrs 2mths 0wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Guanciale, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
