Meet Tamber – A Touch of Magic in Sleek Black Fur 🖤Say hello to Tamber, a one-year-old black beauty with a sleek coat and golden eyes full of curiosity. Her foster family affectionately calls her Kiki because she’s the spitting image of the iconic cat from Kiki’s Delivery Service — mysterious, elegant, and full of quiet charm.Tamber is a confident girl who loves being near her people. When she decides to get some cuddles, she will sit in your lap and place her paws on your shoulder so she can be pressed completely against your chest. At night, she may decide to sleep on your chest, acting as your personal, furry, purring weighted blanket.She has a funny little quirk that we hope continues to her forever home. She prefers to have her food dish off the ground (at her foster home, it is on a desk). When she is ready to eat, she will sit next to her bowl, staring at her person, expecting that person to get up and pet her before she eats. She would thrive in a calm, patient home with lots of love. She was surrendered to the shelter wearing her pink, ragged collar, and there was no explanation as to why she was surrendered. We can only guess she was not given the best of care because she was thin and scared to be picked up. She is getting better about being picked up, but if she is caught off guard, she will hiss and try to get away. She is still learning that humans are good, loving, and can be trusted. Tamber would love to be in a home as an only cat or in a home with a few male cats. In a quieter setting, she would probably become your shadow and constant lap companion.
