Cinnamon

My story

Apply to Adopt Me! Cinnamon, aka Pez, is a shy approx. 10yo, 11-lb. female chihuahua. Cinnamon was one of 10 small dogs who came to Lil Rascals when both of their elderly humans passed away unexpectedly. She wants to be in the same room as her person, and although she is not a clingy dog, she simply wants to know where you are. She would love a family who will shower her with love and bring out her full potential as a loving companion. She wants to cuddle next to her foster mom and sleep in bed with her, but sadly her foster fur brother doesn’t allow her there, so she gets cuddles in when he isn’t in the room. Cinnamon is house trained, does fine with other dogs but would do best with only one other dog or as an only pet. She is a little possessive of her person and food bowl so she would do best to be fed separately if there are other dogs. She loves to sunbathe in the backyard and frequently walks the perimeter of the yard to ensure all is secure. When she is ready to come inside, she will encourage/herd the others to follow her in. She will let you know when it’s time to go to bed and will do her due diligence to check on you until you follow her to the bedroom. If you don’t follow her, she will find a comfy place to nap near you. Cinnamon is nervous about being picked up right now, so it's best to approach her slowly so she knows you are about to pick her up. Otherwise, she will step away from you. She has just started playing with toys. She walks well on a leash, and loves riding in the car and seeing the world go by. Cinnamon is learning that the cat is not to be chased. While she doesn’t chase Miss Mimi anymore, she will freeze and watch her every move. A quiet discussion with her will redirect her energy elsewhere. We are requiring an all-adult home with a fenced outdoor space for her.
