My story

Meet Harlem, 3 years old, a resilient and soulful pup with a quiet strength and a heart full of love to give. Found as a stray, Harlem’s past is a mystery, but what we do know is that he’s ready for a fresh start with someone who will see the best in him. Harlem is a sweet, loyal companion who bonds deeply with his humans. He enjoys calm moments, belly rubs, and just being near the people he trusts. While he gets along well with people, Harlem would do best in a home without male dogs, as he prefers his space when it comes to other boys. If you’re looking for a faithful friend who has so much love to give, Harlem just might be your perfect match.Harlem is keeping his kennel clean, and waits to potty outside. This is a good sign that he may be housetrained. Harlem was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Harlem is an absolute sweetheart with the perfect mix of curiosity and calm. I had the joy of taking this good boy out for a Dog Day Out, and he made every moment special. We started with a hike, where Harlem’s adventurous side really shined. He was so excited to explore the trail and was especially intrigued when he spotted a couple of deer, his enthusiasm was contagious! After our outdoor adventure, he found a shady spot under a tree to relax, sip some refreshing water, and crunch on a healthy carrot snack. He takes treats so gently and already knows commands like sit and shake. He’s such a smart pup! Harlem loved the car ride just as much as the hike, calmly enjoying the scenery while we headed off to pick up some well-deserved goodies. He got to enjoy a cheeseburger and a pup cup picnic-style in a peaceful park, sitting on the grass like the good boy he is. At just 3 years old, Harlem is full of life, but there’s a quiet wisdom in his eyes that will melt your heart. If you’re looking for a dog who’s always ready for an adventure but also knows how to relax and enjoy the moment, Harlem might just be your perfect match!`Harlem is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
