My story

This big boy is quite the little charmer! Bruce is loving the single puppy lifestyle in his new foster, and he’s blossoming into a truly awesome pup. Everyone who meets Bruce comments on his sweet personality, excellent manners and silly, playful energy. This little dude is up for any adventure—visiting the park, playing in water or just chilling on the couch—as long as he has his human. His foster absolutely adores him, but Bruce is ready to find his forever home.    Bruce absolutely adores everyone he meets on his walks in the park: big dogs, little dogs, adults and kids… and he’s smart enough to avoid Canadian Geese. Bruce gets constant compliments from strangers about his sweet and calm demeanor, how good he is with other dogs, and what a VERY handsome boy he is! His black coat is developing into a rich, chocolate brown and his little puppy face is velvety soft. Which is perfect for kisses on his nose, which he’ll ask for by resting his head on your knees. He’s just an absolute lovebug.   In photos, Bruce looks very dignified with his soulful eyes and squishy forehead wrinkles, like he’s constantly pondering all the ways to be the goodest boy. But the camera can’t capture his silly energy; floppy paws, and puppy breath. This boy is still teething, but he’s super smart and knows what he can and cannot chew. Bully sticks and Kongs are his favorite, and sometimes he’ll suckle on his Kong like a pacifier as he falls asleep for nap time.   For a 4.5 month old puppy, Bruce is really mellow. During the day, he goes on walks in the park, and then entertains himself with chew toys or naps. He gets the zoomies and wants his human to play with him but he’s happy with about ten minutes of tug-of-war and then it’s Nap O’Clock again. It’s Nap O’Clock a lot for Brucie.   Bruce has been to doggie daycare, where he is already a staff favorite! He plays with everyone, and loves loves LOVES jumping in the doggie pool. We’ve definitely got a water dog here!   This pup walks beautifully on his leash, and only resists if he sees something that really catches his attention… usually a dog that he wants to meet! But he is very attuned to his human and redirects quickly with his name and a treat.
