My story

Hi there! My name is Pop. I’m a cute, playful Tabby kitten with soft striped fur and a purr that turns on the second you pet me. I’m full of energy, love, and snuggles, and I’m hoping to find a very special family even if I come with a few extra considerations. You see, I tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus)—twice. This virus can be passed from mom to kitten at birth, and while it sounds a little scary, let me explain what that really means. There are different types of FeLV infections: -Some kitties clear the virus on their own and eventually test negative. -Others live with the virus for life but may never show any signs of illness or only show signs later in life. -Some develop symptoms more quickly and need extra medical care sooner. The truth is, there’s no way to tell right now which group I’ll fall into. What I can tell you is that I feel great right now—I’m active, happy, and full of kitten curiosity. I love toys, soft beds, being pet, and all the love you can give. Because FeLV can spread to other cats through close contact, I can only go to a home where there are no other cats or where there are already FeLV-positive kitties like me. I promise I’ll be the best little buddy you could ever ask for, and I’ll fill your home with warmth, purrs, and playful mischief. My future family should be well-informed and ready to provide any care I might need down the road. I may need help if I ever get sick, and I’m counting on you to be there for me when that time comes—but until then, I’m just a normal kitten living my best life and looking for love. If you’re ready to open your heart to a very special little guy like me, come meet me! I’ll be the one chasing a toy mouse and purring like crazy the second you walk in.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pop, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
