My story

Butter is a sweet, loyal dog who loves being close to her people. She’s content to lie beside someone on the couch or climb into a lap in a recliner. She enjoys following her humans around the house, yard, or shop and just wants to be part of the action.She knows basic commands (sit, stay, come, no, go to bed, potty), is house-trained, and travels calmly in the car—usually lying down quietly. Butter has lived with cats and small dogs, and while she isn’t aggressive, she will stand her ground if needed. She’s been around goats and likes to scatter them playfully.Butter walks on a leash with a halter and occasionally needs a reminder not to pull. She is not food-aggressive and takes treats gently. She loves tough chew toys and enjoys chasing a ball a few times before losing interest. She is intelligent and would benefit from consistent training sessions.She tolerates nail trimming with a Dremel if kept short. While she can be crated, she becomes anxious if left alone for more than a few hours; a chew toy or mild sedative helps during those times.Though she hasn’t lived with children, she has responded well to them in public settings—calmly sitting and enjoying their affection. Butter has plenty of energy and enjoys physical activity but settles nicely indoors. She sleeps in her own bed at night but will happily cuddle in bed if invited. She`s quiet in the home and doesn’t bark much, letting smaller dogs handle that.Butter is a loving, well-mannered dog who would thrive in a home where she can be close to her humans and continue learning.
