My story

Meet Lucy! She is a 1 yr old female Black Mouth Cur/Staffordshire mix that weighs 56lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 5/13 as a stray. I don`t see how her family has not come to reclaim her. Its clear to see she has been very well cared for, and is house trained. She loves everyone she meets. She does get excited and will jump on you, but with continued redirection she does well. Lucy loves to be petted, leaning in close, and will give you kisses. Tho she doesn`t know any commands, she likes to play with balls, take treats gently and walks ok on a leash. And wow...does she have a smile that will definitely catch your eye. She enjoys investigating her surroundings, and didn`t show any interest in the other dogs barking at her. If there will be another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. This wonderful girl would make a great family companion. Have a secured backyard to play in, but live indoors where she can cuddle close on the couch with her family. Come meet sweet Lucy!
