My story

Mabel is a lovely older lady who’s looking for a calm, patient home to spend her golden years. While we believe she may be blind and possibly hard of hearing, Mabel doesn’t let that stop her from enjoying gentle affection and cozy cuddle time with people she trusts. Because of her limited vision and hearing, Mabel can be easily startled by quick movements or unexpected touches—she may still catch some shadows or light changes, so a calm, predictable environment helps her feel safe. Once she knows you’re there and understands she’s in good hands, she’ll happily settle in next to you for pets, chin scratches, and quiet companionship. Mabel is the kind of cat who just wants to be near someone kind. She doesn’t ask for much—just a soft place to rest, a gentle hand, and a heart that understands her slower pace and special needs. She may be a little shy at first, but if you take the time to go slow and earn her trust, you’ll be rewarded with the love of a truly special cat. Mabel is ready for a soft landing and a forever home filled with peace, love, and understanding. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines.
