You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Davy Jones! He is a gorgeous, fluffy, orange kitty who is about a year old. He is extremely friendly and affectionate and loves to make new friends! He gets along great with everyone he meets - cats, dogs, kids, you name it - he's a friend to every nation! He has very soft hair and enjoys being pet and held. When he's not actively looking for cuddles, you can find him playing with his foster siblings or with his toys. He was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina and was fostered down there while he awaited transport to DPR. While in NC, he slept with his foster mom every night. He was great friends with the resident dog too and they would even play with toys together! We were so amazed that the dog (who does not typically like to share any of his toys) would bring his toys over to Davy to play with! He's a great guy and will make a great addition to your home! This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *     DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:  Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity.
