My story

Forrest the 72lb adult dog is happy, wiggly, and boy can he run! He is seeking a loving and active family to give him the exercise and mental stimulation he needs to live his best life. Forrest came to the shelter because his owner was experiencing housing issues. He previously lived successfully with another young dog with whom he got along. According to his previous owner, Forrest is “friendly, cuddly, and playful”. Forrest enjoys ropes and ball toys. He loves chasing tennis balls! Forrest has a history of being a good doggy-brother and was excitable but friendly when meeting another dog here at the shelter. If you have another doggy family member, please bring them to the shelter to meet Forrest and make sure he is a good fit for your pack! This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
