My story

Meet Eggsy! This resilient little guy has overcome a tough start and is now ready for his forever home. Eggsy is a 6-year-old, 16-pound terrier mix who arrived at Second Chance SPCA underweight and struggling with skin issues. Thanks to love and care, he’s been given a clean bill of health, though he’ll need to stay on allergy medication to keep him feeling his best.Eggsy is the definition of a sweetheart: gentle, quiet, and incredibly friendly. He does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a fantastic addition to just about any household. Inside, he’s as laid-back as they come, but give him space to run outside, and he’s ready to play! He’s still working on his leash skills (expect a little spazzy enthusiasm!), but overall, he’s a well-mannered boy.Eggsy has so much love to give, and he’s eager to share it with a family who will cherish him. Could he be your perfect match?Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
