My story

Cocoa is a 4-year-old, 35-pound Bernedoodle with a heart as soft as her curls. Rescued from a puppy mill, she’s now discovering the comfort and joy of a safe, loving home—one gentle step at a time. Cocoa is wonderful with other dogs and will surprise you with bursts of playful energy—especially when a ball is involved! Her zoomies are a happy reminder of how far she’s come. When she’s not playing, you’ll find her lounging in the grass, basking in the sun, or soaking up gentle pets from her humans. She walks beautifully on leash, is housebroken, and responds best to calm voices and kind energy. Cocoa is an easygoing girl who loves to snuggle on the couch and sleep in bed with her people—soft blankets, warm hearts, and cozy spaces are her love language. She’s looking for a patient, loving home with a securely fenced yard and another friendly dog to help guide her as she continues to blossom. If you believe in quiet companionship and the beauty of second chances, Cocoa might just be your perfect match. She is fostered in Augusta.
