Marvin

My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 5/17/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Marvin to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet our handsome boy Marvin 💙 He is a purebred shih tzu. He weighs 13.6 lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a healthy weight. He turned 2 years of age on 4/21/25. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his yearly vaccines, and had an overall wonderful exam with our vet who has cleared him to find a home all his own ❤️ He is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom when he needs to throughout the day every 3 hours or so. He is very good about communicating with us when he doesn't need to go out and will just go back to lay in his bed. He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night or to nap in during the day. He is very well behaved in the home and enjoys hanging out with his humans any chance he gets so you'll find him lounging near by if he isn't at your feet. He is leash trained, and LOVES his walks. He really enjoys strolling around the neighborhood, and was used to nightly walks with his prior owner which he would patiently sit at the door waiting for every evening. If you love your walks, he would happily join you on every single one of them ❤️ He is amazing with dogs and cats alike. He grew up with two cats in his last home, and loved them very much so if you have cats he would make a great addition to their lives. If you have another sweet dog, he would happily join them in life as well. If he only had YOU as he would be equally content as his happy place stems from his human at the end of the day, and he would have no problem being the prince in his new home ❤️ He is NOT a barker whatsoever, but he does communicate with you very well. He likes to talk to you when he wants something whether it's to go outside or to turn off the lights because he is ready for bed 😂 He is so smart and knows exactly how to get his voice heard, especially because of how sweet and charming he is!!! Plus he gives the greatest snuggles in return 🥰 He LOVES road trips, and it doesn't matter the distance as he has traveled vacationing with his prior owner so he is very accustomed to being on the road so if yould like a sweet guy by your side enjoying time outside of your home he will gladly take that spot in your life ❤️ He loves the groomer, and does very well with his spa days enjoying being pampered, and brushed. He always looks forward to his snuggles when coming back home and being told how handsome he is. He will soak up every single ounce of love he gets so he makes sure to let you know just how appreciative he is by giving you kisses 💕 His prior owner had to move back home to take care of her parents and knew life would change drastically for her leaving her with little to no time to give Marvin the life he was accustomed to. She didn't want to say goodbye, but knew it was best for her sweet boy to be in a home where he would continue getting the love and attention he was used to so she reached out to us to take him in 💙 His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/marvin It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, and exam with our vet (which went perfect) It also covers the care involved in the months he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done with him.
