My story

HIGHLIGHT:####- May require another confident dog already established in the homeMeet Jack, a handsome 4-year-old Shiba Inu weighing 27 pounds. Jack is still very shy and uncertain around people, and he`s not yet comfortable with being touched. He’s in the early stages of learning that humans can be gentle, kind, and trustworthy.Though he`s scared now, Jack is slowly adjusting to his new surroundings and showing small signs of progress. Having another confident dog in the home may help Jack feel more secure and give him a role model to learn from as he builds confidence and starts to explore life outside his shell.Jack will need a patient and understanding family willing to give him the time and space he needs to grow at his own pace. With gentle encouragement and the support of a furry friend, Jack has the potential to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
