My story

The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Sunni is a 3 year old Chocolate and tan Mini Dachshund. Sunni is a shy little girl, weighing 13 pounds. She takes some time to warm up, but once she does, she is your best friend. She is a velcro dog, she will follow you anywhere and as soon as you sit down, she will fill your lap. She loves other dogs, and enjoys playing, and loves playing chase. Sunni loves to play with toys also. Sunni is crate trained but would much rather sleep cuddled up under the covers in the big bed next to you. She is dog door trained, but like any Doxie I would never say she is 100% housebroken. Sunni is sensitive, so change does affect her, so change of going of losing her home and going to her new home will confuse her again. Once Sunni settles into to her new homes, she turns into a puppy. She runs and bounces like a puppy. She loves to play with her foster dog siblings. She loves to pounce on her toys like she's a hunter and they are her pray. She is so funny and has such a comical personality once her true personality shows. We are hoping for a home with another playful dog her size. Sunni does not like the chaos of young kids, sorry no small kids and no cats. Sunni is ready for her new family to love him for the rest of his life, is that you?  Sunni's Adoption fee: $600We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day.
