Bart is a 4-year-old pit bull mix who is looking for a home where he can enjoy life and all of it's pleasantries. Bart is a a big happy boy who is pretty chill. He is very sweet and just wants to please. He is a great companion, he just wants to hang out, get some scratches and give some licks. He is happy to spend hours laying in the grass enjoying the sun or looking out the window watching the world go by. Bart is house and crate trained and he will let you know when he needs to go out. He can be a bit of a velcro dog at night and insists on keeping one foot on you when you sleep. However he also understands personal boundaries and will get down when told and sleep in his own bed. Bart has a playful, sometimes mouthy personality, so we recommend a home with kids 12 and up who can help keep interactions positive and respectful. He seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, but he’s not a fan of rude or overly pushy playmates. He previously lived with a dog who didn’t respect his boundaries, so any potential dog friends should meet him first to make sure they’re a good fit. Bart will thrive with an active family who can give him plenty of exercise and attention. He does well on walks, and gets really excited when squirrels make an appearance so brace yourrself.
