My story

This 10-month-old German Shepherd–Aussie mix is smart, social, and full of beans. Mochi was surrendered when her person became homeless, and now she’s looking for a new start with an active family who can keep up with her energy and enthusiasm. Mochi loves people and is always ready to play—though she can get a little mouthy when excited, so some gentle guidance and continued training will go a long way. She's house trained as long as she’s kept on a consistent routine. She enjoys romping around with other dogs, but her playstyle is on the rude side—think full-contact chaos—so any dog siblings will need to be tolerant and ready to roll with her energy. On leash, Mochi can get barky when she sees other dogs. It's not aggression—just frustration that she can’t say hi right away—but it’s something that needs to be handled thoughtfully to prevent it from developing into true reactivity. Mochi’s looking for a home where she’ll get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and the structure she needs to become her best self. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
