My story

Meet George (previously known as Tank): 83 Pounds of Pure Snuggle! Looking for a professional cuddler, part-time pool lounger, and full-time sweetheart? Say hello to George—a big, lovable softie who’s basically a giant marshmallow in dog form. George is 100% sweetness and once he falls for you (which won’t take long), he’ll want to be wherever you are—preferably right next to you, or ideally on top of you. He’s a world-class snuggler and makes an excellent body pillow. Bonus points: he sleeps on his back with his feet in the air, and yes—it’s just as cute as it sounds. He’s a total kid magnet, gets along great with most female dogs, but prefers not to hang out with other males. Cats? Too interesting. Best if he doesn’t have the temptation. George is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks like a dream on leash. He sits for treats and takes them like a gentleman. He’s low-energy, toy-loving, and just wants a calm home and someone to hang with all day. He does get nervous during thunderstorms and fireworks, but he has meds that help him stay chill. When he’s scared, he’ll just want to cuddle up with you until it passes—pretty fair trade, right? Also, he’s got style—he loves to wade around the shallow end of the pool like he’s on vacation. Now, full honesty: George has separation anxiety, so he’s looking for a home where someone is around most of the time. Work-from-home folks, retirees, or anyone who wants a built-in snuggle buddy 24/7—he’s your guy. Why we’re rehoming him: We’re expecting our first baby and moving cross-country. George is a wonderful dog, but he needs more time and attention than we’ll be able to give him with a newborn and a big move ahead. This is a very hard decision, but we know the right home is out there for him. George is ready to bring his big heart (and big belly for rubs) to a home that can give him all the love he deserves.
