My story

With names meaning “beautiful” and “fair,” Bella and Guinevere certainly are the cutest little pups! Bella (14lbs) and Guinevere (8.5lbs) came to the shelter from a rough situation, but now that they have both had dentals (covered by the amazing Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter) they are feeling better and are seeking a comfortable retirement home – together, as these ladies are bonded. Bella and Guinevere have spent some time with one of our wonderful fosters, who had this to say about them: “These two are the sweetest. They want to be with their person at all times if at all possible and on your lap even more. They are loyal and responsive and love to give kisses. They are comfortable being picked up and tolerate baths just fine. They do not chew on or even pick up anything… Bella gets super excited and gets the zoomies when you get home and Guinevere loves to crawl into your lap and give kisses.” Bella and Guinevere have lived peacefully alongside the cats in their foster home, but both girls are still working on housetraining and need to ease into being home alone without their person. It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
