Meet Balto – A Loyal Heart Waiting to Shine 🖤🐺 After 322 days as part of a large cruelty case, Balto is finally free — and ready to find the home he’s always deserved. Named after the heroic sled dog from the movie, our Balto may be shy at first, but he’s every bit as loyal and courageous once he feels safe. Balto is a striking black shepherd with a gentle soul. While he’s a bit timid around new people, give him time and patience, and he’ll show you just how much love he has to give. Once he knows you’re his person, he lights up with joy — especially when he sees his friends. Balto loves other dogs and needs to go to a home with a confident canine sister to help guide him and keep him company. He’s not a fan of being left alone, so a home where people aren’t gone for long—and where his dog sibling can be his steady companion—will be the perfect match. He’s still learning how to be brave in new situations, but Balto is ready for his next chapter. With the right support, this sweet boy will blossom into the devoted companion he was always meant to be.
