My story

Meet Ariel – The Sweetheart of the Sea (and Sofa)! At just 40 pounds, Ariel may be petite, but her heart is enormous. This 2-year-old American Bully is the definition of a gentle soul. She raised 9 beautiful puppies (our Little Mermaid litter!) and now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby. Ariel is a total dream dog—calm, cuddly, and perfectly behaved. She won’t jump on your couch or bed… but if you invite her up, she’ll curl beside you and drift into sleep with an actual smile on her face (yes, we have the photos to prove it!). She’s fantastic with cats and dogs alike—especially playful kitties who will entertain her sweet spirit. Honestly, she just wants to be near her people, quietly soaking up the love. Ariel does have a grade 2 heart murmur, but no meds are needed—just routine checkups like any other dog! Our vets aren’t concerned and say she’s perfectly fine to live her happy, snuggly life. If you're looking for an easy, loyal, snuggly best friend who’s happy doing absolutely nothing by your side, Ariel is your girl. ------------------- ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below: Dog/Puppy: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Dog Cat/kitten: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Once approved, we ask that all members of the household (including dogs) be available for meeting the animal within 5 days. If the meeting goes well, you will submit payment electronically and be able to take your new family member home with you immediately! If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed. 4. Please review these resources prior to the meeting to be prepared with what to expect when bringing a new dog home: a. We love seeing updates on the happy endings to your story Thank you for considering The Hero Rescue, we couldn't do it without you.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ariel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
