My story

Hi! My name is Suki.  I don’t know a lot about my life, but my rescuers were told that I was found outside at a few weeks old, and someone brought me in. Unfortunately, the one lady in the house didn’t want me and because of that she never took me to the doctor, and no one tried to train me to be a house cat. They also had a 2-year-old grandchild they took care of that wasn’t very nice to me. When the man and the mean lady moved, they left me behind. My new rescuers are pretty positive I would have been left outside to fend for myself. They decided to bring me home, take me to the vet, get all my shots and get me spayed. They set me up in a nice room with a big bed, tons of toys, all the essentials and even my own tv where I got to watch cat tv during the day and listen to cat melodies at night. They had every intention to integrate me with their other fur-babies and make me part of their family. They quickly realized that I was never initially socialized and would need extra time and attention. With 5 fur babies already, they gave it a try but found that I would not be able to integrate with their cats easily. We moved into a new home where I have a lot more room and a nice cozy carpet. I started to show my belly and become relaxed. I felt safe and I trusted my Rescuers.  Then one day they started to notice I had a limp, they sent a video to our vet and the next day I saw the emergency vet. I was told I needed surgery. My rescuers  knew this would hold me back & also realized how much pain I was in. The vet had told them, my behaviors could really be due to the pain I am in. So, they decided to get me the surgery. I had to live in this tent thing for a few months while I healed. They took great care of me, giving me my meds 3x’s a day until I got to the point, I didn’t need them anymore & was given the green light to get out of my tent! I was then spending more time than ever with my rescuers and they loved me so they decided to find a shelter to take me and find me a permanent home.   They told me that I will one day have a family all my own where I can run and play and get spoiled with love all the time. I love to curl up next to my prople and just want to be in their presence. I’m really a sweet girl that just needs some patience, love and play!  ##2401090##
