My story

Meet Nyx, a charming 3-year-old neutered male Finnish Spitz mix with a unique personality! Weighing around 23 pounds, this small but mighty pup has big character. With his long legs and adorable features, Nyx is sure to capture hearts. He's great with dogs and people, and has been good with cats, mostly ignoring them. Although untested with kids, Nyx is believed to be kid-friendly. This laid-back pup enjoys playing with dogs, but also loves to mind his own business. He's a fan of Nylabones and hard chews, and has been sleeping through the night like a pro! As a Spitz mix, expect Nyx to be a bit vocal - he's got a lot to say!  Medically up to date, working on housebreaking, and crate trained, Nyx is ready to find his forever home. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
