My story

This gentle giant is Bishop! He was surrendered to the shelter on 5/15 because his person could no longer care for him due to their own health issues. His former owner did note that Bishop is house-trained, good with kids and other dogs. The volunteers describe Bishop as friendly and chill. He is intelligent and knows commands such as sit, down, and stay. If you're looking for an XL sized dog who would love to join you on walks and then lots of chill time on the couch, please come meet Bishop! Bishop is 7 years old and weighs 116 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Bishop in run 79; his ID # is 10009. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
