Moop, a crème brûlée chi with the composure of a Buddhist monk, comes to us from a loving home, ready to fill a new one with his special brand of loyalty and affection. House-trained, crate-trained and partial to snuggling, he combines an air of elegance with easygoing energy to connect with dogs and people. He is also unsurpassed as a humble role model and non-judgmental yoga partner. Hardly gets better than this, my friends. Meet him today! Here's some notes from his foster: Moop is a cuddly and polite gentleman. He’s never going to pass up an opportunity to chill on the couch and seems to prefer sleeping/napping with someone nearby—though he is also a very good boy when sleeping by himself in a separate room. When he’s alone in a separate room he’ll sometimes walk up to the door and wait but usually heads back to settle in by himself after a bit. He does very well when left home alone for hours: even on his first night with me, he seemed to have spent the time just relaxing/napping on the couch and nothing was out of place. His politeness really shows when we leave doors open and he waits outside almost like he’s waiting for permission to enter—unless we’re going outside for a walk. Though he loves his lazy time, don’t be fooled—he can go for long walks (we’ve done almost five miles in a day) and has yet to ask me for a break during one. He does well on a leash, rarely pulls, and goes at whatever pace I set during walks (sometimes faster!). He also isn’t a big fan of taking his harness off (but maybe he’ll warm up), and I personally think it’s because he wants to be ready at all times to go for a walk. He’s a bit silly with toys where he doesn’t quite seem to understand fetch but will retrieve toys I throw and bring them to a spot and playfully attempt to shake them up. Same with tug of war He has no problem finishing meals and leaving the bowl sparkling clean each time and absolutely loves treats. He is a bit of a goofball and tends to think any item I’m holding could be a treat (he’s sat down for a Sock before), but he only begs for a short time in the form of quiet, whisper-like whines (in video!). He hasn’t barked in the apartment since I’ve had him. He seems to sit on command, unless he’s super excited then you just have to give him a second to collect himself. Moop is also very clearly housetrained and hasn’t had an accident in the apartment yet, and I usually take him out 3 times a day to go potty. He is good with meeting new people and getting pets, but for wiping him down/cleaning his paws/rubbing his belly/being picked up he needs a bit of time to warm up. He is a bit selective with other dogs: some he pays no attention to and others he’s clearly uncertain of. My apartment only has 2 adults and no other animals. Overall, Moop has been so lovely to have, and he would do beautifully in a home where he gets tons of love and walks.
