Umi Zoomie

My story

Meet Umi Zoomie, or just Umi as we call her! Umi came to us from a local shelter partner after being picked up as a stray. She quickly went into a foster home where she has been enjoying life as a house pup until she could make her way onto the adoption floor! Umi`s foster mom says she is very much a cuddle bug, loved playing in the yard with the other dogs and kids in the home, she is very smart and catching onto basic commands quickly, and got along with the cats in the home as well. One thing about Umi is that she LOVES people and animals; she has a lot of love and energy to give and her ideal home would be someone who would be able to be home with her most of the day and/or to have a canine pal in the home she can play with. Umi does tend to get very upset and is not afraid to express those feelings very loudly when she is alone or crated. Her foster mom started crate training with Umi to which she says that Umi is improving, but still has some more progress to make. Due to this, we are requiring no shared walls at this time. She enjoys the company of others too much to want to be alone. While Umi is very sweet and friendly, she is very much a little bundle of energy at times and in her excitement, can get a little mouthy and jumpy. Adopters will need to be able to work with her on puppy training and staying consistent and patient with her as she learns.
