This sweet little youngster is not only beautiful but she is also very sweet. While initially a bit shy (who could blame her finding herself in the shelter system), she warms quickly and is playful and kind. Millie has been in foster and here is what her foster mom has to say about this sweet girl. "I’ve been fostering Millie for 12 days and she is a true gem. When I foster a dog that has been dumped by previous owners, I’m always trying to figure out why? I’m baffled with Millie’s story and the reason why; she has no major red flags. She is full of love and very sweet intentions; she wants to be with her person so much it’s adorable. She follows me in everything I do, but she is also great at going outside and exploring on her own. After she figured out the doggie door, which did take some time. ? I’m fortunate that my resident dog, Gus, showed her the way many times. She has been great with my dog, the neighbors’ dogs, including the moody girl that doesn’t want to play anymore. Millie still approaches her with a lick but leaves her alone when her efforts are returned with a snarl. She can run and she really loves it, someone looking for a trail companion would love to have Millie by their side. I have a seasonal creek, and Millie is starting to show her love of water, it’s been fun to watch. She was timid at first, but now she runs into the creek, snapping at the water, laying down and running back out. I suspect in the warmer weather she will be a full-on water dog, swimming like crazy. Sweet Miss Millie was crated a lot initially as we got to know her and I could determine if she was house trained or not, I would say she is fully house trained. She hasn’t had a single accident in the house and sees herself out all the time. She does want to get up on my bed, but I have a no furniture policy here and she has figured that out. It doesn’t stop her from looking longingly at my bed, but she has been very respectful. This girl really is a bundle of pure love, and I can’t imagine how she ended up in the shelter, she has been one of my easiest fosters."
