My story

My foster writes:Hello! I am a very independent cat. I enjoy pets and will come to you when I want attention. I tend to play rough and will scratch you if you aren't cautious during playtime. I am very talkative when I want to be and will not shy away from treats. I like to drink running water but am not very good at it. :)What my friends at ACC say about me:Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.Davey tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to an adult-only home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: Davey was found behind a building looking for some help. Though he's been with us before, things have happened and changed, and Davey's gallantly trying to turn it all around... by crawling around on his belly. Davey is curious and excels at making new friends using the most adorable tools at his disposal - his belly! Popping his head out of his den to see what I was doing, he crawled with his belly on the ground like everyone's favorite neighborhood jellyfish to roll over. With his little feet up on his den, he smushed his head into my hand to look at me upside down. Waiting for what was next, Davey rolled around to demonstrate his playful side and I could see the ideas dance across the air as he did. Davey is very sweet and seems to think very carefully about everything he does. This is because he's trying his best to get the second chance he deserves.
