My story
Hello! Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive. OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you`ll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.I am reported to be good with kids and my foster parents have had nothing but wonderful things to say about me! Of course slow, monitored introductions to any pets or people in a new home will be needed. Ask staff for information about introducing pets!
