My story

Tony von Tharandt is 12 month-old handsome and incredibly loving fluffball with a heart as soft as his fur. This sweet boy is one of the biggest lovebugs you’ll ever meet. He adores affection, happily leans into pets, and will shower you with gentle kisses. He already knows his “sit” and enjoys learning new things, especially when treats are involved. He walks beautifully on leash—happy, relaxed, and eager to stay close by your side. Always wagging his tail, Tony is a social butterfly who loves meeting both people and other dogs. Tony thrives in playgroups—he’s comfortable, playful, and always ready to explore. A friendly greeter, he wags his tail at everyone and loves giving kisses to his canine pals. He’s been just as gentle meeting cats, making him a perfect fit for a variety of homes. If you’re looking for a cuddly, social companion who brings both joy and affection wherever he goes, come meet Tony! Our lucky guy was a favorite at a rural animal shelter, arrangements were made to fly him in a private plane to Westside to start his new life! Rescued from the Tulare animal shelter. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
