My story

Simon von Senden is a striking and eager 10-11 month old shepherd who’s ready to share life’s adventures with his forever family. Simon is outgoing, happy, affectionate, attentive, and full of potential. He's the kind of dog who loves being part of the action and connecting with his person, he'll jump in your lap for cuddles. Treat-motivated, he knows his sit, and is eager to please. Simon is a very gregarious pup, he loves meeting people and other dogs, and enjoys group walks at the rescue, looking to his handler for guidance. In playgroups, this boy also does great. He greets dogs with a wagging tail, ready to romp and play, so he'd enjoy another playful pup in the home. He's even joined in on the fun with some bouncy puppies. (He's not for cats, however.) Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
