Newton is starting to feel more comfortable in his foster home. After a couple of weeks, his fosters are learning much more about him, writing, “He's extremely sweet when he's nervous (like when he first arrived in our home) or is tired after a long play session. He'll give us the cutest slow blinks and purr like a motor. He loves to be picked up and held. He has an insane amount of energy and needs at least 3 long, intense play sessions each day. If he doesn't get those, he starts looking around for trouble to get into. He's a lot of fun to play with! Some cats are difficult to entice into play, but he's very easy. He especially loves wand toys and will jump crazy high to go after them. He really needs to be a solo cat because he's not good with other cats. We introduced him to our cats after slow introductions, but we only allow him out of our foster room for short periods each day because he's horrible at respecting our cats' boundaries and can get randomly aggressive towards them. His fosters say he can get kinda bitey with them when overly excited about play or when he just wants them to stay and pet him longer. We're usually able to redirect him to a toy, but he has bitten our hands a few times. He usually doesn't bite hard enough to break skin and clearly it's coming from a playful place, not actual aggression, but it does mean that he might not do well around small children.” Newton is incredibly charming, and he’s so adventurous and fun. If you’re looking for a kitty who loves to play and engage with you, he’s your man.
