My story

Meet Archie – our 12-year-old chunky gentleman who’s got way too much charm to be spending his golden years in a shelter. Archie is lovable, sweet, and just the right amount of sassy. He’s a cat who knows what he likes — soft beds, head rubs, and a quiet home where he can soak up the love (and sunbeams). What he doesn’t like? Sitting in a kennel waiting for someone to realize he’s the best decision they’ll ever make. This boy deserves more than a cage. He deserves a home. A couch. A person. He needs someone with patience, understanding, and a heart big enough to love a senior cat who still has so much to give.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
