My story

ABOUT JAYNE Meet Jayne, our beautiful 4-year-old calico! This sweet lady was brought to HAP after she was found outside with her very young kittens. Since the shelter isn’t the best place for moms and babies, we sent the whole family to one of our amazing fosters. Jayne loved being in a home and settled in right away! Now that her babies are grown and adopted, it’s Jayne’s turn to find her forever home. Jayne did very well in her foster home, but she hasn’t had the easiest time adjusting to shelter life. She much prefers having space to stretch out and explore! In a home, she was affectionate and loved being pampered. At the shelter, she might give a quick hiss, but it’s all talk. We’re hopeful someone will look past her temporary grouchiness and see the truly sweet girl she is! *Jayne gets along well with other cats, though we recommend calm kitties. She’s looking for a calm environment, so a home without dogs or very young children would be ideal, but she should do well with older, respectful kids! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
