You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lumi originally came to the shelter from the city pound in Feb., 2024 when her hold time was finished. We called her Lumi as she has a luminous, outgoing personality. She appears to be a "shepherdy" mix of some kind, although she is rather petite. She's happy and energetic. She was adopted in March, 2024 and recently found her way back to us. She has been vet checked, chipped, spayed, and her fee is $150. Lumi was recently found running loose dragging a leash. The finder traced her rabies tag which was under our shelter's name at the vet and brought her back to us. We tried to call the adopters but all the numbers had been changed or disconnected. Lumi is now on the hunt for a new home. She's now a little over 2 years old and is a very active gal who will require regular exercise. She is loving and enthusiastic. Most likely she'll be okay with other dogs as we do know she lived with one in her previous home. We don't know about cats. She should be fine with older kids. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
