*** Blair is at our PetSmart Encinitas adoption center. ***Blair #19506: black & white bicolor, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/1/23Cats: good solo, okay with mellow onesDogs: unknownChildren: calm older ones BACKGROUND: Blair was left at a vet’s office when her guardian was escaping a domestic violence situation and was unable to take Blair with her. The vet reached out to us to ask if we could help find Blair a safe and happy home.PERSONALITY: Blair is an affectionate kitty who needs some adjustment time and understanding and then will bond with her chosen person and follow that person around the house so she can stay in your company. She’s petite with the cutest little squeak and high-pitched meow! She loves her scratcher pad and tower, enjoys chasing toy mousies and balls, but is overwhelmed by the feather wand. She spends her days lying in a sunny spot on the bed watching a bird feeder through the window. Blair likes her head petted and comes to you for attention, though she prefers you reach to her from the side rather than over the top of her head; once petting, you can run your hand all the way down to her tail and she’ll give a loud appreciative purr. When she’s had enough for the moment, Blair will bat your hand away to let you know. She’s not a direct-on-your-lap cat and prefers that you let her keep her paws under her own control, but you’ll clearly see her desire for companionship!COMPATIBILITY: Blair is great as a solo kitty. She was bullied by a more dominant cat in the past though has done well with the mellow older female cats currently in her foster home. We don’t know her thoughts on dogs. Blair prefers a calm approach and slow movements, and thus finds younger and rambunctious children to be rather intimidating. A quieter home with cat-savvy older kids nearing their tweens or an adult home would be ideal.Blair is such an endearing darling. Will you give her a stable home where she knows she will be cherished for the rest of her life?
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Blair, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
