Meet Levi – The Sweetest Survivor! Levi may have had a rough start, but you’d never know it from his joyful spirit and loving heart. This 4-year-old, 13 lb Border Terrier mix was found as a stray with severe burns on his back, legs, and head. Thanks to lots of love and care, he’s healed beautifully—though his fur may never fully grow back in some spots, his spirit certainly has.Levi is an incredibly affectionate little guy who trusts quickly and loves hard. He wants nothing more than to be scooped up and cuddled—and he’ll happily follow you from room to room to be close. He’s crate trained, housebroken, walks well on a leash, and is a great little car companion. He loves chewing on bones and toys and soaking up every ounce of attention. Levi may be happiest as your one-and-only pet, soaking in all the love. He does do well with dogs around his size and will try to play with them. He doesn't always love sharing his toys though. Larger dogs scare him and he does have a prey drive so cats are not a good fit for him.At home, Levi has a typical terrier attitude—he’s spirited, opinionated, and protective of his people and space. He does great meeting new people out in public and loves attention from everyone he meets. However, he can be wary of unfamiliar visitors coming into his home and would do best in a quieter household without a lot of foot traffic. His ideal adopter is someone patient and willing to continue slowly socializing him with guests, helping him feel safe and secure.
