My story

After losing his home in a fire, Avery is hoping to find comfort in a calm, loving place with someone special. This sweet boy is mellow, easy to handle, and just wants to be close—quietly affectionate, following you around the yard and soaking up gentle pets. No drama, no chaos—just love. Avery walks beautifully on leash and appears House-trained. He’s got soft, calm, cuddly energy & is a gentle treat-taker & a perfect gentleman! Avery may have lost a lot, but he hasn’t lost hope. Let’s help him find the peaceful home he deserves. BEHAVIOR: 05/21/2025 volunteer notes: Avery was super easy to get in and out of the kennel. He was extremely mellow and calm and just followed me around the play yard and wanted to cuddle. I’m curious why he is leveled gold, he was so easy! Didn’t seem scared or timid in my time with him, just quiet and calm. A love. 05/21/2025 volunteer notes: He was standing quietly and calmly at the gate, closed mouth, soft eyes, ears to the side, tail low. When he saw the lease, she got very loose and wiggly with sweeping low tail wags and ears back. He was easy to leash and pulled mildly to the outside. He went potty right away, and then was taking treats gently from my hand, responding to the sit cue. He was tolerant of touching with soft eyes, ears back, tail low not wagging, and did not solicit attention after I stopped touching. No interest in play or toys Easy to return to kennel and remove the leash ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull.
