My story

Teddy is a sweet, gentle boy who has had a rough transition into shelter life after being surrendered due to his previous owner’s health. Arriving at the end of March, he’s now ready to find his forever home. But he’s still adjusting to his new environment. Teddy is a little cautious. With patience and love, he’s sure to blossom into a loyal companion. He enjoys chin scratches and being petted. He enjoys the company of the shelter volunteers and with time, he’ll make a wonderful cuddle buddy. Special Note: Teddy is not a fan of other cats and would do best as the only feline in the household. Other cats just stress him out and he’s looking for a peaceful environment where he can feel comfortable and be the center of attention. Current Situation: Teddy feels safest in his kennel right now, but he’s slowly warming up to the idea of exploring the world outside of it. He’s a bit of a slow burner and needs an adopter who will be patient and let him come out of his shell at his own pace. Ideal Home: A calm, quiet home with a patient, understanding adopter who will give Teddy the time he needs to feel safe. Teddy isn’t in a rush to explore or get too cuddly right away, but with time and trust, he’ll be a loyal, affectionate companion. Teddy’s wish list: * To be your one and only cat * An adopter who is patient, kind and understanding * A safe space where he can take his time adjusting to his new life If you’re looking for a sweet cat who just needs a little extra time to adjust and is in need of a chance, Teddy could be the one for you! The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
