Rescued after being abandoned on the roadside, Boone's past suggests he was used as a hunting dog and likely spent much of his life confined to a kennel. This history has left him shy and cautious at first, but with time, patience, and kindness, Boone reveals his deeply affectionate side. Once he begins to trust, Boone becomes a devoted companion who craves gentle affection and enjoys peaceful moments with his person. He thrives in a calm environment and takes comfort in the presence of other dogs—he gets along wonderfully with canine companions and would benefit from a home with another friendly dog to help boost his confidence. Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Boone is looking for a foster or forever home in Central Texas only. He needs a loving, understanding family who can help him continue to blossom at his own pace. His ideal adopter would be someone familiar with hounds or someone who appreciates the gentle, loyal nature of these incredible breeds.
