Ace! Total dream boat on the leash, easiest dog to walk. He seemed to be trying to stay house trained, knew a few basic manners and has a friendly kennel presence. We did not meet any dogs face to face today, but was friendly in passing and initiated play through barrier. Per staff 5/21/25: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Ace was at the front with a mid level wagging tail and soft eyes. He was super easy to leash and came right out once secured. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally HANDLING : In the room, Ace was nervous when he saw a toy with his hackles raised and a lowered body. He came running to me for comfort and stuck himself under my legs. Once I grabbed the toy and squeaked it, he grabbed it and held it in his mouth. He is a very timid and gentle boy, liking to be held and cuddled. He allowed all the handling from me, knew sit and down and took treats very very gently. Although he can be unsure and a bit nervous in new surroundings, he warms up very quickly. PLAY: No interest TOYS: Took possession of a squeaky toy – took it to his kennel Per owner 5/17/25 (Ace was surrendered by his owner of a few months due to housing changes): Who lives in the home with your dog?
