Lizzy

My story

Lizzy is a female Golden mix and her BFF Elton is a male Flat-coat Retriever mix and are adorable pups who were strays, running with two older dogs, possibly their mother and father. We estimate them to be one year old, and very much puppies. They weigh a little under 40 lbs, and we've had no messes in their dog runs. They can sit and shake, and someone has obviously spent time with them and Lizzy loves to fetch the ball for you. They are very attached to each other, and we have found since they have been in a foster home, that they very much need to stay together as Elton starts to whine when he is not next to or near Lizzy. They love each other and also love and crave people interaction and attention. Their foster mom says: "They are so stinking cute! I wish we were able to keep these 2!!!  They are getting lots of love, socialization and exercise while here. They are fantastic with kids of all ages (they are living with a 9 and 12 year old, and they have been helping care for the dogs too) from our experience with visitors in our home and kiddos coming up to us on walks. They barked at workers here to waterproof our basement today, but have not shown any signs of aggression toward anyone. They obviously love each other very much and play constantly and must be kept together. Lizzy seems more inclined to search for human interaction, whereas Elton is very sweet with people but really just wants to be near Lizzy. They appear good with other dogs too.
