My story

Microchipped, DOB: April 3, 2024 Looking for a loyal, loving companion who will always be by your side (or on your lap)? Meet Gusto! Gusto is a gentle soul who takes a little time to adjust to new surroundings but with a bit of patience (and a few tasty treats), he’ll quickly become your devoted sidekick. Once he feels safe, Gusto transforms into a total cuddle bug, happiest when he’s snuggled up next to you, or better yet, between you and a friend, soaking up double the attention. This sweet boy is incredibly tolerant. He doesn’t mind having his paws or belly touched and will even put up with being picked up or gently washed when needed, though it’s not his favourite. What he does love is following his humans around the house, finding the perfect spot to keep an eye on everyone, and snoozing the day away with at least one paw touching you. But don’t let his snuggly side fool you, Gusto has an independent streak, too! He’ll happily keep himself entertained with feather toys, bells, and anything that wiggles or bobbles when you’re busy or away. Gusto came to us from a rescue in Quebec, and while we don’t know much about his past, we do know he had a healing journey. He arrived with a minor wound from an unknown animal (now fully healed, leaving just a harmless bump on his spine) and seems to be afraid of barking dogs. Because of this, Gusto would thrive in a calm, dog-free home where he can truly relax and be himself. He’s also recently had some dental work and may need soft food for just a bit longer, but he’s well on the mend, back to play-pouncing and toy-nibbling like a champ.
