My story

Kang is a shy but sweet boy who’s learning to come out of his shell one day at a time. Found as a stray, he’s been adjusting to shelter life with the help of our caring team and has been joining morning playgroups.While Kang may take a little time to warm up, his soft nature and kind eyes say it all—he`s full of love, just waiting for the right person to share it with. He would need to meet any potential dog companions ahead of time to ensure a good match and help him feel comfortable.Kang was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Kang and I went to loose park and lakeside nature center. He was a great buddy to have for a long walk! King is a BIG sweetheart and loves to love. He jumped right in my car with no problem, and was adamant about being near me, even from the backseat. We went on a little bit of a hike down a trail, and he was leading the way! He would be a great adventure partner. He was sweet to everyone that passed by, eager for their attention but he never barked once! He’s a great walker.`On another Dog Day Out here is what they said, `Kang and I went for almost a 2 mile hike and he led the way! I even jogged with him and he stuck with me the whole time. He then enjoyed a pup cup, cuddled up across my lap, and enjoyed a nice nap on my bed while I read my book. Kang is a sweetheart and anyone would be lucky to have him as a companion.`Kang is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines—he’s ready for a fresh start in a patient, peaceful home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace.If you’re looking for a quiet companion with a heart worth knowing, Kang might just be the perfect fit.His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
