My story

Jackson is a 7-year-old gray beauty who’s learning that the world isn’t so scary — especially when love and kindness are involved. Since moving into our community room, this gentle boy has started to open up, accepting pets and affection from the people around him. Every day, he takes a few more brave steps forward. He’s still a little shy, but you can see the hope in his eyes — and we know that in a loving, patient home, Jackson will truly blossom. Please give him a chance to show his true personality with your patience, understanding, and love.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
