Zero to Hero

My story

  Meet Zero to Hero, a young, joyful pup who’s equal parts zoomies and snuggles. With a heart full of love and a now nubby tail that never stops wagging, Hero’s happiest when he’s right next to his favorite people—or better yet, curled up on top of them!  He has two speeds: all-out play mode and totally conked out, and he gives his whole heart to both. Hero is crate trained, housebroken, and a total foodie, which makes training a breeze—he learned “sit” in under a minute and picks up new routines quickly. While he's still working on polite greetings and can be startled by loud noises on walks, he pushes through with encouragement.  Through surgery, a cone of shame, and some unexpected health challenges, Hero has stayed his sweet, resilient self. He’s ready for a loving, active home with plenty of snuggles, playtime, and maybe even a yard or trips to the park. He enjoys the company of other dogs and might thrive with a playful companion who matches his energy. Adoption fees are as follows, plus tax: $150 for large adult dogs (older than 1 year); $250 for small dogs (under 25 lbs) and all puppies (under 1 year); $60 for adult cats (over 6 months of age), $100 for kittens (under 6 months of age), and $25 for small animals. When you adopt a pair of kittens together, the total adoption fee is $150.  PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia's homeless and at-risk animals.
