My story

Maximus is a striking 3-year-old buff-colored boy who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Georgia. With his soft golden coat and calm demeanor, he's as charming as he is handsome. Maximus quickly made friends with Sylvie, a fellow rescue, and the two were often seen chasing each other around the shelter, until Sylvie was adopted and went off to her forever home. Now, Maximus is hoping to find a new companion, whether feline or human, to share his days with. He enjoys exploring his surroundings, greeting people with quiet curiosity, and soaking in attention when he’s in the mood. At the same time, Maximus values his alone time and would do well in a home that respects his independent nature. If you're looking for a mellow, sweet companion who blends affection with independence, Maximus may be your perfect match — and he just might be waiting for you.
