My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.A volunteer writes: Fanning herself out over her beloved toys, Bluey introduced herself with a big stretch. We've heard she's not always the biggest fan of strangers, but as Bluey leaned her head into my hand and rolled around at the front of her condo, it seems that she just likes to be the one to choose when and how to take that first step. Always by her side at the moment is her confidence building sidekick, her toy mouse. Tossing it in the air and catching it with her paws, Bluey very sweetly alternated between cuddles and playtime. Using her mouse is a great strategy for meeting new people and it seems to be serving her well. Since coming to us at the shelter, Bluey has been extraordinarily loving, leaning into pets and neck scritches and introducing herself to people with aplomb.
