My story

Meet Miss Fanny! This compact model of canine is bursting at the seams with love and curiosity for the world around her. If we, as a society, were able to convert cuteness into gasoline, Fanny's ears alone would be able to fuel every car in the western hemisphere. Our sweet girl came to HSP from a neighboring county shelter, where she had been surrendered due to her owner working too many hours and thus, not being able to give Fanny the time and attention she deserves. Lucky for Fanny, this allowed for her to upgrade from a life outside to being surrounded by HSP love and magic. While Fanny may be heartworm positive, it hasn't kept her from living life to the fullest. She has, on occasion, participated in playgroups and was an absolute rockstar. Not only is she great with dogs here at HSP, she was noted to have a positive history with kids and other dogs in a previous home.
